(a) Male MPW 

  • responsible for work regarding NVBDCP  – making slides for malaria, treatment of malaria, house sprays
  • maintain water quality – chlorination
  • register and record maintenance of survey
  • drug stock maintenance
  • providing family planning methods – male contraception, vasectomies
  • conducts OPD in subcenter and survey in villages

(b) Female MPW

  • She is primarily related to anything concerned with mother and child health Eg: ANC, PNC, Provide immunization to mother and child, Promotes family planning method
  • conducts OPD and survey

It is of two types

  • has the provision of delivery services

Health Assistants
